Balance the grove.
Three rules, no guessing.

A cosy binary logic puzzle. Fill every row and column with as many owls as foxes, never three alike in a row. Hints that explain the move, a new puzzle every day, and nothing that shouts at you.

Works offline · One optional £4.99 purchase, no other IAP

Simple rules. Deep logic.

Equal owls and foxes in every line, never three in a row. Grids grow from 6×6 to 12×12 and add = and × links as you go.

Rue
Three foxes in a row? Too crowded!

Hints that teach, not tell.

Pip highlights the line, explains the deduction, and only fills the cell if you ask. Every technique lands in your Field Guide.

Questions

Is it the same puzzle as the app?

Yes. The Daily on this site and in the iPhone app are generated from the same date seed, so everyone gets the same grid. Streaks, hearts, leagues and the Burrow live only in the app.

Is there an unlimited mode?

Yes — Unlimited here in the browser, and Endless in the app.

Is it free?

Free with occasional ad breaks between puzzles in the app. One optional £4.99 purchase removes them for good. Nothing else is for sale.

Does it need wifi?

The app works fully offline. Leaderboards and ads need a connection; nothing else does.

Is Hoot & Fox related to LinkedIn's Tango?

No. Both are based on the classic Binairo / Takuzu puzzle. We're not affiliated with LinkedIn.
